What are the benefits of implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS) on a production plant?

There are several business and environmental benefits of implementing an EMS. An EMS shows our customers, employees, and the surrounding community that we care about doing our part in preserving and protecting the environment. An EMS also supports Husqvarna’s overall corporate environmental objective towards a Clean Production Chain.

What areas will need environmental efforts in the coming 3-5 years?

In the upcoming years, we will continually looking at ways we can prevent pollution and reduce waste. From an environmental standpoint, we will need to focus on capturing more recyclable materials and focus on energy/natural resource reductions.

How can Husqvarna’s production sites reduce their environmental impact in the daily work?

We at Orangeburg can reduce our environmental impact through implementing and following Best Management Practice developed at each Facility. By following best practice, we are able to diminish our impact on water quality and lower our air emissions.
