Code of Conduct and policies

Husqvarna Group's sustainability and social responsibility practices are primarily guided by the Code of Conduct, the Environmental Policy as well as by a number of additional internal policies.

Husqvarna Group is dedicated to being a responsible supplier and a good corporate citizen. The Group shall support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and make sure the Group is not complicit in human rights abuses.

Husqvarna Group’s Code of Conduct is committed to the principles of the UN Global Compact, which aims at aligning businesses with human rights, labor, environmental care and anti-corruption principles. The principles in the Code are also based on OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

The Husqvarna Group’s Code of Conduct describes the values and guidelines that are the basis for our operations and it guides the Group's relations with business partners and other stakeholders.

The Code is valid for every employee, irrespective of country or position. Internal guidelines clarify and exemplify what is stated in the Code of Conduct.

Suppliers, dealers, subcontractors, consultants and other business partners are also required to adopt and follow the principles in Husqvarna Group’s Code of Conduct. A special manual explaining the Group’s supplier sustainability requirements more in depth has been developed and distributed.

Business partners are continuously evaluated and selected on the basis of criteria including efficiency quality, delivery, price and reliability as well as their ability to meet with the requirements of the Code.
