AIESEC interns stories, Igor Neves, Transport Program Coordinator

"I wanted to get the opportunity right after my graduation from International Business Management in Brazil, to put in practice all the knowledge acquired during my studies and to start building my career within a global leading company. And that motivated me to do some research into Husqvarna and understand more about the group's mission, values and business approach."
I had been a member of AIESEC for five years and when I was ready to graduate I decided to apply for an international internship. And I always knew that AIESEC offer high quality opportunities.
Husqvarna is a solid and strong company, with many years of experience and a proven ability to understand market needs and provide premium products. That is exactly the kind of experience that a young, recent graduate is looking for.
Husqvarna is clearly open for new talents that can come in and join efforts to make the group succeed. My first impressions have been really pleasant.
International dimension and work environment
I come from a totally different country and everything is a new reality for me. It is very challenging to step out of your comfort zone and be far away from everything and everyone you know. But that is what makes me grow as a person and as a professional. There is a good working environment at Husqvarna and since the beginning I felt welcome.
My work is connected to my studies and personal interests, so it has everything that I could expect. I am learning a lot everyday about different processes, and I am also able to express my opinion and discuss new ideas even if I am still in the training stage.
Our operations have a large scale and that brings a large responsibility. I work closely with top global managers and that bring opportunities to learn and be inspired by them. This is definitely not just another regular job, but a real life-changing experience.
